Go Time

Palatine, IL – Your Chicago Outlaws are in full swing with their preseason preparation; practice has started and a schedule is coming together.  Outlaws practices are open to the public from 8pm – 9:30pm at Athletes Academy, Inc (340 N Eric Dr., Palatine, IL 60067) and we are well ahead of schedule getting game ready.

American box lacrosse is increasing in popularity and with the introduction of the Interstate Box Lacrosse Association (IBLA) and development of the Regional Box Lacrosse Leagues (RBLL) many Box Lacrosse League (BLL) teams did not renew their membership for the 2018 season, leaving the Outlaws without a league to play in. Therefore we are shifting our focus to offering leagues and developing proper box lacrosse locally.  We will still compete as a semi-professional squad as our group enjoys traveling to other cities to play and enjoy the culture.

The Chicago Outlaws will open our season on August 4th as we travel to the Tonawanda Reservation to play in an exhibition showcase against the Tonawanda Braves and the Rochester Greywolves.  “We are overwhelmed to be invited to the Tonawanda Reservation and play The Creators Game,” said President, Ray Kincaid, “to be invited onto Native land to play this game is an absolute honor! And to compete against Can-Am teams will be an excellent challenge to start our season.”

On August 11th the Chicago Outlaws will start their recreational and competitive leagues at the Salt Creek Sports Center.  Youth games (Jr. Outlaws) will take place between 8am and 1pm while the mens rec game will start at 1:15 pm and the mens competitive games will take place at 3pm. We urge all participants to sign up as soon as possible as registration has been coming in for over a month and there are limited spots available. We invite all interested players to involve themselves in our great sport.  For more information, please call the Outlaws front office at 847-703-0033.

On August 18th we will enter uncharted territory… a local field tournament is being hosted by one of our friends in lacrosse.  We will be supporting them and this great sport by participating in this men’s tournament. We will share more details as they are released.

On September 8th the Outlaws will visit Columbus to compete against the new Columbus Crows franchise. We are excited to revive a great rivalry between Chicago and Columbus while helping them prepare for the IBLA Championship tournament.

The Outlaws will finish their season the weekend of September 29th at the well attended Lacrosse All Stars North American Invitational (LASNAI). We will compete against the best amateur box lacrosse teams in Canada and the United States. We are aware of the difficult challenge ahead of us and are putting in the work to get ready for one of the most difficult seasons we have ever had.

Stay tuned for added games and tournaments; GO Outlaws!!!
